Coldain Ring Quest

The Quest is a continuation of the Ring Quest and is given by Garadain Glacierbane (-2600, -300) in Eastern Wastes. You must complete the first three parts to do this quest.

  
Garadain Glacierbane is in the East most hut

1. Hail Garadain Glacierbane and he will tell you of a Tain Hammerfrost that is missing and needs your help.

2. Head South East to the bridge that connects to Iceclad Ocean. West of the bridge just over a hill is a dwarf which is lying down (most times, sometimes he is standing). This is Tain Hammerfrost.

On top of this hill is where the giants spawn. Tain Hammerfrost sleeps.

3. Hail him and say 'what help?'.

4. Three Frost Giants will spawn along with a named giant called Grhek Squatnot. Kill Grhek and give the vial to Tain Hammerfrost. If the giants kill Tain Hammerfrost he will not respawn for two hours (At which time you will have to say 'what help?' and hand him the Frozen Elixir before you get beaten to death by the giants again.) One common strategy is to root the named giant and pull the rest of the giants into a dwarf camp. While you kill Grhek the giants will be busy and you can turn in the Frozen Elixir to Tain Hammerfrost.

5. Return to Garadain Glacierbane and give him your Gold Coldain Insignia Ring and the Coldain Smithing Hammer to receive a Platinum Coldain Insignia Ring:
