Coldain Hero's Insignia Ring Quest
The Quest is a continuation of the Ring Quest and is given by Seneschal Aldikar in Icewell Keep. You must complete the first eight parts to do this quest. Also be aware that this quest is sequential, which in other words means, if you screw up at any point you have to start all over again from Step 4 on. 1. Seneschal Aldikar is in the Icewell Keep Throne Room and is only available for the quest between 8AM and 8PM. Hand Seneschal Aldikar the Velium Coldain Insignia Ring and he will walk down to his room. After long pauses he will say you whether you accept the task. Say 'I will accept the task' and he will hand you a six slot container.You now need to kill six traitors and place their heads (with the exception of Rodrick) in the container.

2. The first traitor is Rodrick Tardok and he spawns in Eastern Wastes (You should have this already from when you killed him in the 6th Ring Quest, but if you don't you will have to repeat Step 5 of that quest). He drops 'Dirk of the Traitor'.

3. The second traitor is Murdrick Tardok (loc -5950, 3700) and he spawns in a cave (entrance loc -5600, 3500) in the Great Divide on the same ledge as Velketor's Labyrinth. The problem with Murdrick is that the guards nearby will come to his help when attacked. Mardrick is a Rogue and hits no harder than your regular Velks spider and he despawns if you don't engage him before he finishes his speech. He will respawn about 45 minutes later.

They aren't on Coldain faction as Pazen finds out.
Strategy 1:
Harmony the rest of the room, pull Murdrick Tardok clear and kill him (if you get any adds have the puller kite the rest while the group kills Murdrick).Strategy 2:
Target Murdrick and have a group member tag the group and as he and the group runs by Tag Murdrick. While the rest are being trained away to Velketors Labyrinth or Thurgadin finish Murdrick.
Loot Murdrick's Head and a recipe for Tainted Avalanche Ale (Make sure Davin Fatfist is in his spawn spot or Murdrick will not spawn).
4. The third traitor is Captain Berradin (loc -60, 2360) and he spawns in Eastern Wastes. Make a batch of Tainted Avalanche Ale (recipe follows)

5. Hand the Avalanche Ale to Captain Berradin (loc -60, 2360) in the North of Eastern Wastes, wait until he falls to the ground calling for a Cleric, pull him out of the hut and attack him. His guards will assist so you can either kill the Captain fast and then run... or kill them all. Loot Berradin's Head and a Note to Peffin after the dust settles.

6. The fourth traitor is Peffin Ambersnow (loc –2500, 3200) and she also spawns in Eastern Wastes in the Giant fort. She is Invisible and stands to the right of three Kromzek Elite Giants in the right hut. Bring a range group (ie. Rangers, Wizards, Mages, etc) and equip anyone else with bows and arrows. Kill the Giants in the right hut and at the fire outside and then hand her the 'Note to Peffin' and she will respawn outside of the hut and three lower 50 Giant Elites will also spawn inside the hut. They can be harmonied, sneaked/CoH past them or killed quite easily.

Head to the newly spawned Peffin at the fire. She has 5 Elite Giants (level 51+) of which you can not pull her or her guards. Peffin will only attack with her bow and won't do all that much damage (30-130). Since you probably don't want to have to deal with all the giants you also need to resort to range attacks (do NOT get too close to the giants or they will start summoning). Once Peffin is dead, get an evacuation ready, run into the camp, loot her head and a 'Note to Doldigun' and port out (or deal with the giants). NB. You might NOT be able to target Peffins Body when she dies and will get an Elite Guard as your target not matter how hard you try. You can either kill all the giants, kill Peffin and loot her body OR hit 'sit' and right click really fast on her body (or u and the /loot) so that you can loot it.

7. The fifth traitor is Doldigun Steinwielder (loc -850, 1150) in Kael Drakkal in the Royals or Chanter area.

Clear all the rooms before you attempt the Giant Cycle
He has to be spawned by saying 'the Dain shall be slain for the peace we must obtain' while standing on or near the throne.

Doldigun Steinwielder despawns very fast so make sure you have the letter handy
Hand him the letter and you will receive a 'Ring of the Coldain Council'.

Doldigun Steinwielder will despawn and two giants (level 51) will spawn behind you in the room. Pull these to your group and kill them. Every time you kill a Giant a slightly harder one will respawn in its place until you spawn one final Giant (level 60) that walks in from the left room. After this Giant dies, Doldigun will spawn in the throne room and start running. You MUST hit Doldigun before he runs out and despawns. Kill him to loot 'Doldigun's Head'.

8. The sixth and final traitor is Juliah Lockheart in Icewell Keep. If it is 8AM to 8PM EQ time she will be in the throne room. If it is 8PM to 8AM she will be in the council room (has bleachers all around the room).

Hand Juliash the 'Ring of the Coldain Council' and she will respawn and proceed to attack you. She hits for 350's, however the other Dwarfs around will not assist her at all. A strategy I used was to pull her to the zone so that people in my group that were Killed On Sight by the dwarves could help in her demise. Kill her and loot head, she also has a chance of dropping a necklace, and spells.

9. Click combine on the box with all the heads and 'Dirk of the Traitor' inside to make a 'Box of the Guilty'.

10. Hand the combined box to the Dain Frostweaver IV (in Icewell Keep)

Dain Frostweaver IV is sometimes killed by uber guilds and therefore not spawned
