Shiny Brass Shield Quest
"Training is a Shield"

This is a Heritage quest that starts in deep Zek. It requires completion of a series of trials and yields kite version (or buckler if you are not a fighter class) of the shield. This quest can be soloed until trail six if you are are 40+, but a group is recommended for the group encounters. This quest ties in well with the Short Sword of Ykesha since you must kill Emperor Fyst to receive both rewards.

Grozmag the Trainer (at his new spot)

The Trials
1.
Grozmag the Trainer is located West of the Deathfist Mine.
2. He will ask you to complete six trials in order to gain the Shiny Brass Shield (SBS). The trials are held in the room at the bottom of the Deathfist Mine. Be very careful as to how you answer the Trainers questions as he may reset your quest (or the dialog) if you answer incorrectly.

The trial room is small and deadly

NB. The trial zone in for a group can be buggy. It seems that it defaults to the lowest trial that a member in the group needs. If you group with members that have completed trial six it may choose randomly which trial you get.

Trial One - Solo

1 Zek Berserker(Level 30)

Trial Two - Group
4 Zek Berserkers (Level 32. Two are ^)

Trial Three - Solo
    1 Zek Pummeler (Level 33v)
    1 Zek Warrior (Level 33)

Trial Four - Group (or 40+ solo)
    2 War Wolves (Level 35)
    2 Zek Warrior (Level 35)
1 Zek Destroyer (Level 35^, Heals)

Trial Five - Solo
    1 Zek Defiler (Level 36)
    1 Zek Berserker (Level 36v)
1 War Wolf (Level 36 vv).

Trial Six - Group (Requires at least four to enter)
    1 Zek Champion (Level 38^^)
    1 Zek Inquisitor (Level 38^) + 2 Weald Wolves (level 38)

3. Return to Grozmag the Trainer and he will tell you to Kill Emperor Fyst in the Deathfist Citadel (Access quest) or kill Cerebros the Gatekeeper in the front of DFC. Use this guide to get to Emperor Fyst.

4. Return once more to receive your reward:

Shiny Brass Shield
+10 STA, +11 STR, +50 Health, +19 Power
752 Shield Factor
Effect: Autocasts "Brass Flash" which has a 2% chance to stun target.

Heritage Fact: The Shiny Brass Shield in Everquest 1 was a random drop from the Orc Trainer in Crushbone. A level 13 Mob!
