The Paladin Epic Quest starts out in Erudin where you talk to Reklon Gnallen for the basic quest information. The quest giver is Fetid Fiend Irak Altil, found in Plane of Fear. You must return his breastplate, sword, and shield to him after cleansing them.

The Items

The Breastplate

1. Organize raid in the Plane of Hate.

2. Pull Thought Destroyers (level 55 hag). Loot a 'Tainted Darksteel Breastplate'.

The Sword

3. Organise a raid in The Hole off of Paineel.

The Keeper of the Tombs is surrounded by other undead that will defend him

4. Kill the Keeper of Tombs deep in The Hole. He is Undead and a Shadowknight. Loot the 'Tainted Darksteel Sword'.

The Shield

5. Head to Nektulos Forest and find Kirak Vil. He wanders around from Neriak South West and then back again to Neriak. He has a very fast regeneration so a gruop with high Damage Per Second is recommended. I did it with me (62 Paladin), 65 Bard, 51 Paladin (Daggy), Elva (54 Cleric) and Mistify (54 Enchanter) with no problems at all.

Kirak Vil is a warrior and summons

6. Kill him and loot the 'Tainted Darksteel Shield'. He is a lvl 56 Dark elf.

The Pure Items with which to cleanse

The Pure Gem

1. Head to North Kaladim and down the mines (first right) to find Jark (loc 700, 225) and say 'I will get your dinner'.

Jark likes staring at the wall.

2. Find Nella Stonebraids (loc 675, 120) at the fountain outside the temple and hail her. Say, 'dinner'.

Nella is also bored and skips stones in the fountain

3. Return to Jark and give him the dinner. Receive the Pure Crystal.

The Pure Water

4. Find 'a peasant woman' near the monk guild in West Freeport and Hail her. Say 'what water' and 'I will take it'.

5. Receive a bucket of water.

6. Find her brother, Joshua in the bakery nearby. Cleanse him by handing him the bucket and receive a 'bucket of pure water'.

The Final Task

7. Head to Felwithe and hand the 'Tainted Darksteel Shield' to Elia the Pure who stands by the lake. Receive a 'Gleaming Crested Shield'.

8. Head to the Temple of Quellious (Cleric Guild) in Erudin and find Reklon Gnallen on the balcony. If you are Multiquesting this part make sure you hand your piece in last and that you both are at least indifferent to Reklon.

9. Give Reklon Gnallen the 'Tainted Darksteel Sword' and the 'Pure Water'. Receive a 'Gleaming Crested Sword'.

Hmm do I really want to trade this in for Fiery Defender. I mean its so good!

10. Give Reklon Gnallen the 'Tainted Darksteel Breastplate' and the 'Pure Crystal'. Receive a 'Gleaming Crested Breastplate'.

11. Give Reklon Gnallen the 'Gleaming Crested Shield', the 'Gleaming Crested Sword' and the 'Gleaming Crested Breastplate'. Receive a 'Mark of Atonement'.

12. Head to the Plane of Fear. Find Irak Altil (wandering NPC skeleton) and give him your Fiery Avenger and Mark of Atonement. Do NOT go to the Plane of Fear without a raid force. The aggro radius in there is incredible far and most creatures see through Invisibility. If you must go in without a raid force you will need at least a high level Enchanter and a Druid for Evacuation (or to zone out you will have to run to the gate in the most dangerous area in Fear). Irak Altil wanders near the middle of the zone, but wanders far and wide.
